Program for light pattern decoding in structured light 3D scanner application
Ďuriš, Miroslav ; Zatočilová, Aneta (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with decoding program design for fringe projection 3D scanner and transformation of decoded information into world coordinates. Contemporary indus-try increasingly uses the optical measuring devices to control dimensional and geo-metrical quality of produced products. Therefore, the main goal of the thesis is to expand existing knowledge about the optical 3D scanner used at the Institute of Ma-chine and Industrial Design at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Brno University of Technology and to create software that handles images made by a camera, using lim-ited available information about the measuring system and its parameters. Fringes projected by a projector form a sinusoidal pattern, that is phase shifted several times to obtain a wrapped phase map of this pattern. Then the phase unwrapping is carried out using the multi-wavelength method. Relations between the unwrapped phase of a pixel and world coordinates are obtained by empirical system calibration. The thesis describes a complete process of the program development and its func-tionality. The data obtained from the developed program are compared with the data generated by original 3D scanner control software. Consequently, there is determined an accuracy and functionality of the developed program and algorithms.
Projector camera cooperation
Walter, Viktor ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The focus of this thesis is the cooperation of cameras and projectors in projection of data into a scene. It describes the means and theory necessary to achieve such cooperation, and suggests tasks for demonstration. A part of this project is also a program capable of using a camera and a projector to obtain necessary parameters of these devices. The program can demonstrate the quality of this calibration by projecting a pattern onto an object according to its current pose, as well as reconstruct the shape of an object with structured light. The thesis also describes some challenges and observations from development and testing of the program.
Educational exercise for comparison of binary and Gray coding strategy and clarification of 3D scanning processes
David, Jan ; Hurník, Jakub (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the educational exercise for comparison of binary and Gray coding strategy and clarification of 3D scanning processes of the structured light projection method. The aim of this thesis is to compile the educational exercise with using extend software for 3D scanner, which was developed on Institute of Machine and Industrial Design. The individual process steps of 3D scanning will be clearly described and illustrated. Then, the software will be modified in the Matlab software environment.
3D scanner for educational purposes
Romanovský, Jiří ; Navrátil, Robert (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a 3D optical scanner using the structured light projection method. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the principles and processes of 3D scanning by using the DLP LightCrafter projector and the ImagingSource camera. The individual stages of the measurement process will be implemented to the Matlab software environment to describe the various principles and methods which can be used for digitizing the objects.
Creating a 3D Face Model Using Kinect Device
Nesvadba, Tomáš ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Mráček, Štěpán (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor's thesis is to suggest a method for increasing the resolution of 3D face models captured by Kinect. The document describes different methods of capturing 3D models and compares the Kinect sensor with more acurate scanners. The main part of this document is dedicated to statistic model based on the PCA and its usage in the project. The last section of the paper describes testing of various models and discuss the results and another options of aplication.
Structured-light 3D scanner
Hadzima, Jaroslav ; Chromý, Adam (referee) ; Jelínek, Aleš (advisor)
3D scanner is a device capable of creating a model using analysis, most commonly from image data. 3D scanners could be divided into two major groups, contact and noncontact scanners. Aim of this study is to interpret problematics of 3D scanning with structured light. Specifically usage of Gray code patterns. There is step by step evaluation of individual hardware and software obstacles and possible errors, from calibration to final point cloud. In next section, there are included tests determining quality, precision and accuracy of scanning with given method. System is applicable to mobile robots and yet fully remotely controlled. The majority of enumerations is taking place in Raspberry Pi 3 model B, just visualization alone is done from computer.
Realization of a structured light 3D scanner
Přikryl, Matouš ; Brablc, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Roman (advisor)
The beginning of the thesis presents 3D scanner types. Following part describes how the structured light 3D scanners works. It takes into the account whole scanning process and adress problems like calibration, optical triangulation, or surface reconstruction of 3D objects. The second half of the thesis is focused on the implementation of simple 3D scanner, using Machatronics laboratory hardware. It also describes scanners behaviour in different conditions.
3D scanning methods
Čermák, Jan ; Matyáš, Pavel (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
In the first part of this thesis there is a task of taxonomy of the 3D scanners. It explains some principles of the 3D scanners functioning. Then in the second part there are described two particular technologies of the 3D scanning in the more complex way. In the chapters of both of these methods there is described procedure of scanning and compared several commercially available sensors. In the end there is comparison of these two methods.
3D dental scanner
Kotek, Lukáš ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Balogh, Jaroslav (advisor)
The general aim of my master´s thesis is to study the actual principles of 3D scanning, the anatomy of human teeth, use of 3D scanning in dentistry and other medical fields. Another part of this thesis is about software and hardware design of 3D scanning system, which enable us to scan dental casts. This design is using webcam, projector and turntable. The principle of scanning is based on the activ triangulation. The output of 3D scanner is a horde of spots, which are used for reconstruction of a surface. The reconstructed surface is finally saved as .stl format.
Depth map by using Kinect
Němec, Pavel ; Kaller, Ondřej (referee) ; Boleček, Libor (advisor)
Nowadays, depth maps are widely used in various branches of human activity (in building industry, medicine, mechanical engineering, robotics, show business etc.). The aim of this thesis is to get acquainted with different methods of their acquisition and with possibilities of their enhancement (e.g. reduction of noise and points of not specified depth). The main subject of this research are depth maps acquired by Kinect device.
